When a user selects a product to compare, the user is presented with options to select an additional title from their CourseSmart bookshelf, from a list of related titles for the same author and publisher, or to search CourseSmart's catalog by title, author, discipline and publisher.

This new feature presents the publisher provided descriptions and tables of contents in a convenient side–by–side layout.

The table of contents includes active links that open the eTextbook page in CourseSmart's browser–based online Reader. This allows the instructor or curriculum designer to read their favorite topics and review key illustrations in detail.

6. How many textbooks can I evaluate at the same time?

During an evaluation, the number of titles on an instructors' or curriculum designers' review list may range from a handful to a dozen or more.

This new evaluation tool allows instructors to quickly review all of those titles in side–by–side layout two titles at a time.

7. Why can't I compare all of the content of two different titles?

You will be able to view the table of contents of various titles, and preview sample content but will need to have books on your bookshelf in order to compare the full content inside.

In order to get a copy of the book on your bookshelf you can request an online copy. Alternatively, we suggest you request to be authorized for Faculty Instant Access. Upon approval, Faculty Instant Access will automatically put any book you request on your bookshelf and you will have access to all of its contents. Learn more about requesting eTextbooks.
