The Complete Guide to Windows Server 2008

This book is designed to explain the major features of Windows Server 2008-  when to use them, how to design the best implementation, and how to manage the deployed environment. The author wrote it with the IT administrator and architect in mind. Although a background from Windows and networking in general is advantageous, he introduces the basics of each subject, explain how the technologies work, and then builds on that transferred understanding until the reader gets to advanced concepts and best practices. This is not a Microsoft Certified IT Professional study guide, although if the reader understands and can apply the information in the book, then he/she should do well on the Microsoft exams. Readers might want to jump to the parts most relevant to them, but the author suggests reading a chapter at a time, not just part of a chapter because each one builds on a subject.
